David Heine is an award winning documentary filmmaker. His concerns with the current mental health system has led to a series of films exploring different elements of the mental health debate. The release of Care Farms of the Netherlands, a collaboration of Aspectfilms and Videolution, shows an innovative and very successful program in Holland which combines farming and social care. During his years of filmmaking Mr. Heine has produced or directed a number of acclaimed documentaries including; little brother Big Pharma, Taxol and Yew, The Last Season and Good Death.
David and his son Elliot also produced a weekly television program, Aspect Art, in Amsterdam, Holland. In those years they made more than 150 segments on art and culture in Europe. In another lifetime David owned and operated a 106 acre apple orchard in Webster, New Hampshire.
